Can some one please help me with satellite info?

I am trying to get some info please.. We have just recently bought a camper and some one had told me if you have satellite in your home you can just buy an extra dish and take your receiver with you and you will get service is that so? Like lets say I have dish satellite and I have three receivers in my house and I go buy a cheep dish like win-guard which according to my my camping book is compatible with dish network or some thing and I take one of the receivers with me can I still get the same stations I get at home or would it cost me extra? Any info would be greatly appreciated...
