Inside entertainment for Border Collie?

My husband and I just got a 3 year old Border Collie. She is a lot of fun, and I spend a lot of time outside with her playing but I need to get housework done, and our yard isn't fenced in so I don't feel comfortable with her being outside on her own until I know she wont go anywhere. We live on 2 acres down a dirt road that rarely has traffic, and past dogs have never had an issue once they are taught to stay in their yard. The only thing with her is that she is very very active, and I figured maybe giving her a rawhide would keep her occupied while she was in the house but I was wrong she doesn't like them. I have tried different flavored rawhides, or boiling them in chicken broth or putting peanut butter on them. I have tried dentastix, and she doesn't like any of them. Are there any toys or treats you can suggest that would keep her occupied for more then a minute? She has a bunch of different toys but all she wants me to do is throw them and thats hard to do when I am washing dishes!
