Should i get hair extensions?

My sister is in beauty school and i was the first human head she ever cut. i told her i only wanted a trim and she didnt listen to me i guess and ended up cutting off like 5 inches and ive really been trying hard to grow out my hair but now its short again.:'( ive been crying all day about how bad i hate it. im only 13 years old i know that sounds silly but i have really low self esteem now. do you think i should get hair extensions? would they make a difference? we dont really have alot of money so where could i get them done cheep, but still so they look real and pretty?
