Is there some place to that finds vehicals for low income needy.?

My car died . sold it for scrap . I m on unemployment and my gf is disabled . we need a car to get to docyor appointments ,to the store and tae the kid to ballgames. we are liveng week to week . is there some place to help us fnd a cheep/ or free vehical that runs?
