Did I make the right decision?

I'm in high school and i met this girl that is about my age while i was camping this summer.It was the 10th year camping with her so i knew her fairly well. But i never recognized how beautiful she is until this year. So i fell in love with her and i was too scared to tell her, fearing she didnt feel the same. But, i had a feeling she liked me and i was still crazy in love with her that i sent her a letter when i got home. I didnt know her emil and i dont have a cell phone, so i sent her a letter. The letter was embarrassing, i wish i had never sent it. I told her that i loved her and told her to write back. My dilemma is that i only see her once a year and she hasnt written back to me yet, it has been months now. Im fearing that she thinks im a pervert for sending her a letter and she wont go camping next year and if she does she will be scared to even be around me. Should i have sent the letter?How should i confront her if she goes camping next year?
