How do I stop my 7 in a half month old from being so darn whiny?

Maybe talk to his doctor, but he sounds normal. My first son was a piece of cake (other than him being 13 weeks premature...Now 2yrs old). My second on the other hand is 7 months old (4 months adjusted for prematurity). And he is very whiny also. He gets upset if we walk out of his view. He is also very impatient. He doesn't have any teeth yet. I found out that he has to have a small little blanket and he covers his eyes with it, then he is fine and will go to sleep...I play music at night for him and leave the light on so he will go to sleep. Sometimes it's just trial and error as every child is different. You just have to find what they like and what makes them happy. My fist son did not like to watch tv, but my second does. He loves it when I put him in front of the tv in his bouncer (when I am cleaning or doing something with his brother). I too thought that the older and more independant they are the easier it gets, but that isn't neccessarily true either. When my first started getting old enough to play with his toys he wasn't happy because he wanted me to play with his toys with him. He is two and has finally started playing by himself, but now it's worse because he gets into EVERYTHING! Now im assuming that your son can sit up (mine can't)...But when my first one was little I would put him on the floor and make a circle around him with a ton of toys, so he wouldn't get bored with just one.
