Pain right after being at the dentist?

i went to the dentits just to get a tooth that was sharp smothend but ended up with a deep cleening down to the root and then a filling now 2 hours hafter the start of my apointment im in agony i have never in my life been in this much pain can any one advise anything im takng standered cheep pain killers as i dont beleave in pain killers but im in alot of pain can any one help
